In 2005, designer Frances Maria Douglas created Elske.

For the last two years Frances has worked continuously on the concept and now offers her first collection. Frances was tired of seeing the same offerings from other designers who promised exclusivity but did not deliver. Yes, one off designs exist, but other designers then make multiple runs of the same dress in different sizes.

Elske is different, one dress is created in one size – she never makes another dress the same. Frances is half Italian, half Scottish. Italian flair blends with traditional Scots influences to create truly stunning results.

A blank sheet of paper is transformed into the initial design of the dress. Frances then starts creating. Working from a tailors bust, Frances moulds her original design concept into a stunning reality.

Her aim is simple; to create a one off masterpiece that makes you shine on your special day.
